Local figures we found
- Inspections: Erect-A-Rack lists A$495 including GST for up to 1,000 positions and A$795 including GST for 1,000 to 2,000.
- Cantilever: Unirack publishes a Melbourne price list (August 2023, GST-inclusive); ReadyRack lists a medium-duty single-sided starter bay at A$543 including tax. See Racking types compared.
- Used racking: Workspace Systems lists used Dexion frames and beams, and describes them as about half the price of new.
- Mezzanines: Storemax (Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide) quotes A$150–A$650 per m² across kits and installs; see Mezzanine floor cost.
Regulator
WorkSafe Victoria says formal inspections should be done by a competent person at intervals not exceeding 12 months, and that an elevating work platform is needed for racking over 8 m (WorkSafe Victoria). See AS 4084 explained.
