The RackFair quote request form is switched off. Right now we do not collect names, emails, phone numbers or any other personal information through this website, and we do not run accounts, cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Like any website host, Cloudflare, which serves this site, processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages.
We will update this page, and you will be able to read it, before quote requests open.
Who we are
RackFair is an independent guide to pallet racking prices in Australia. It is not a supplier, installer, engineer or inspector. It is operated in Australia. Operator details and a contact address will be published on this page before quote requests open.
What we will collect once quote requests open
When you send a quote request, we will collect only what the form asks for:
- your name and business email address;
- your phone number (optional);
- your suburb and state;
- the number of pallet positions, the racking type and your timeframe;
- any notes you choose to add (please do not include sensitive information).
We also keep your tick-box consent and the date and time of the request. To limit spam we keep a short-lived, one-way hashed form of your IP address for up to about an hour. We do not store the IP address itself with your request.
Why we collect it
- to read and respond to your request;
- to work out which suppliers might suit the job;
- to ask you before we pass your request to any supplier;
- to improve this guide and check that the service works.
We will not use your details for marketing unrelated to your request, and we will not add you to a mailing list without a separate opt-in.
Who sees it
Your request is stored on Cloudflare, the service that hosts this website. Cloudflare runs infrastructure in many countries, so your information may be stored or processed outside Australia.
We do not sell personal information. We only pass your request to a supplier after you agree to that. We plan to pass a request to no more than three suppliers. A supplier would receive only the details in your request.
Suppliers may pay RackFair a referral fee if they win work from an introduction. That fee does not change the price ranges published in our guides, which come from public sources. See how RackFair works.
Suppliers who receive your details are separate businesses. Their handling of your information is covered by their own privacy policies.
How long we keep it
We plan to delete quote requests 12 months after they are received, or sooner if you ask.
Access, correction and deletion
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. Use the contact address that will be published on this page.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, contact us first. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
Security
Requests are sent over HTTPS and stored in access-controlled storage that only the site operator can read. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive information.
Law
We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including where the law may not strictly require it. This page is a plain-language description and is not legal advice.
